Flare Solutions to deliver EPCat-Wellfile(tm), a well file module, in E&P Catalog(tm)

Flare Solutions Limited, based in Europe and North America, have developed EPCat-Wellfile™ to provide E&P professionals with an effective intuitive mechanism for publishing and retrieving well-related documents, data and knowledge. EPCat-Wellfile™ is based on Flare’s award-winning E&P Catalog™ platform. The new system has been specifically designed to accommodate the hundreds of E&P information products typically found in a wellfile.
EPCat-Wellfile provides web-based access to digital and physical content, through a single intuitive interface, irrespective of the source, media or location. A flexible storage, search and retrieval mechanism operates across data and documents to provide coverage for multi-disciplinary teams, who need to access to overviews of content, coupled with the ability to drill-down, pinpoint and retrieve content. The structure of content can be modified to support the needs of specific well types and disciplinary variations.
Flare’s EPCat-Wellfile system is tightly integrated with a large number of systems including OpenText’s Livelink, EMC’s Documentum and Geographical Information Systems (GIS). A variety of E&P Subsurface Data Management systems have also been catalogued using web services to bring data and documents together in single searches.
